AI and Business Summer School


1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern participation in The Mayfair Programme: AI and Business Summer School (the “Programme”), accredited by OCN London and delivered at St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford.

1.2 By applying and enrolling in the Programme, participants and their legal guardians (where applicable) agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

1.3 The Programme is subject to UK education laws, safeguarding policies, and consumer protection regulations.


2. Eligibility and Admissions

  • The Programme is open to students aged 14 years and above at the time of commencement.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a sufficient command of English (B2 CEFR or equivalent) to participate effectively in coursework and discussions.
  • Admission is competitive and subject to availability. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and offers are extended at the discretion of the admissions panel.
  • The Programme reserves the right to decline applications that do not meet entry requirements or if places are full.
  • A place is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
  • The Programme does not guarantee admission to any university or future employment.

3. Programme Fees and Payment

  • The total cost of the AI and Business Summer School is:
    • £5,000 (single College dorm room with shared bathroom).
    • £5,300 (single College dorm room, ensuite).
  • This includes:
    • Accommodation at an Oxford College
    • Daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
    • All course materials and activities
    • OCN London accredited certificate upon completion
    • Travel to excursions
  • A £1,000 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration to secure a place in the Programme.
  • Participants must have paid at least 50% of the total fee by 1 July 2025.
  • Full payment of the Programme fee is required before the start of the Programme. Late payment may result in forfeiture of the participant’s place.
  • Fees are non-refundable except under the Cancellation and Refund Policy outlined in Section 4.
  • Additional costs such as travel to and from Oxford, visa applications, and personal expenses are not included in the Programme fee.
  • The Programme reserves the right to adjust fees annually in line with inflation and operational costs.

4. Cancellation, Refunds, and Withdrawal

  • Cancellation by the Participant
    • Cancellations made more than 60 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
    • Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days before the start date are eligible for a 25% refund.
    • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the start date are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation by the Programme
    • The Programme reserves the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., force majeure, government restrictions). In such cases, participants will receive a full refund or an option to defer enrollment to the next available session.
  • Withdrawal from the Programme
    • If a participant withdraws after the Programme begins, no refund will be provided.
    • In cases of illness or exceptional circumstances, requests for partial refunds or deferrals may be considered at the Programme’s discretion.

5. Conduct and Behaviour

  • Participants must adhere to St Hilda's College, Oxford University Code of Conduct and all applicable UK laws and regulations.
  • The Programme enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding:
    • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.
    • Substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, or tobacco).
    • Vandalism or property damage (participants may be held financially liable).
    • Academic misconduct, including plagiarism or cheating.
  • Any serious breach of conduct may result in immediate expulsion without refund.
  • Participants may receive written warnings before disciplinary action is taken, except in cases of gross misconduct.

6. Safeguarding and Welfare

  • The Programme is committed to ensuring student safety and well-being, following the UK Safeguarding Framework for Under-18s.
  • Participants under 18 will be supervised at all times by qualified staff with enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements must be disclosed before arrival.
  • Emergency contact details must be provided for all participants.
  • The Programme has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately.

7. Health, Safety, and Insurance

  • The Programme complies with UK health and safety regulations, and risk assessments are conducted for all activities.
  • Participants must have valid travel and medical insurance for the duration of the Programme.
  • In the case of medical emergencies, Programme staff will arrange necessary care, and parents/guardians will be contacted immediately.
  • Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed before arrival.
  • The Programme is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property unless due to negligence by the Programme or its staff.

8. Excursions and Activities

  • The Programme includes guided excursions to historic and academic sites, including:
    • Tour of the Bodleian Library and Oxford Colleges
    • Visits to Blenheim Palace and The Cotswolds
    • Company visits to leading AI and business firms
    • Formal Hall Dining and River Punting
  • Participation in excursions is mandatory unless a valid exemption is granted.
  • The Programme is not liable for third-party events or unforeseen cancellations of planned excursions.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

  • The Programme complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
  • Personal data collected during application and enrolment will be used solely for administrative and academic purposes.
  • Photos and videos taken during the Programme may be used for promotional purposes unless participants opt out in writing.
